James J. Iozzo, CFP®

Jim has been in the financial planning arena for more than 24 years. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^®(CFP^®) professional, he helps clients achieve their financial goals, whatever they may be. Jim finds tremendous satisfaction seeing his clients purchase their first home, fund their children's education, or become financially independent as they transition into retirement.

Jim received a bachelor's degree from North Adams State College in business administration with a concentration in accounting. After graduating, he spent six years in public accounting, focusing on income tax planning and tax preparation. Although he enjoyed working in the accounting field, he felt it wasn't what he was meant to do. Using his education and background, he transitioned his career into financial planning. Jim started with IDS/American Express in 1991, which was later reorganized as Ameriprise Financial Advisors in 2005.

After building a 24-year practice with Ameriprise (and its affiliates), Jim desired to join an open and supportive environment where professionals could be true to themselves (and to their clients). Jim prides himself on treating each client—large or small—as if he or she were his only client.
