Jim has been in the financial planning arena for more than 24 years. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^®(CFP^®) professional, he helps clients achieve their financial goals, whatever they may be. Jim finds tremendous satisfaction seeing his clients purchase their first home, fund their children's education, or become financially independent as they transition into retirement.

Jim received a bachelor's degree from North Adams State College in business administration with a concentration in accounting. After graduating, he spent six years in public accounting, focusing on income tax planning and tax preparation. Although he enjoyed working in the accounting field, he felt it wasn't what he was meant to do. Using his education and background, he transitioned his career into financial planning. Jim started with IDS/American Express in 1991, which was later reorganized as Ameriprise Financial Advisors in 2005.

After building a 24-year practice with Ameriprise (and its affiliates), Jim desired to join an open and supportive environment where professionals could be true to themselves (and to their clients). Commonwealth Financial Network^® is on of the nation's largest privately held independent broker/dealers*.

Jim prides himself on treating each client—large or small—as if he or she were his only client.

Sunshine joined Commonwealth Financial Network® in 2008 after many years of management, customer service and bookkeeping roles. She worked alongside a Commonwealth Certified Financial Professional in Auburn, MA for twelve years. In that role, she began as an Administrative Assistant and moved into the role of Financial Planning Assistant/Office Manager. She was introduced to, and worked in the same office as, James J. Iozzo since January 2008 and covered for him occasionally over that twelve year period. In 2019, the Financial Professional Sunshine worked for sold his practice to one of the largest firms associated with Commonwealth Financial Network, located in Worcester, MA. Sunshine worked for that company for six years as a senior level assistant before making the choice to become a Financial Advisor and advance in the industry.

Since then, Sunshine has partnered with James J. Iozzo, CFP® in Auburn, MA. She holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations as a Financial Advisor of Commonwealth Financial Network®. She holds a dual role of Financial Advisor and managing the office while working with James to grow the practice.

Outside of the office, Sunshine’s favorite things to do are spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, and listening to live music.
